Eicher Trucks & Buses, a division of Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV), celebrated National Energy Conservation Day by highlighting its renewed focus on building an energy-efficient and sustainable mobility ecosystem. The company aims to improve operational efficiency, boost fleet productivity, and strengthen smart manufacturing practices to help customers achieve more while using less energy.
Eicher continues to lead the commercial vehicle segment with its wide range of EV, CNG, LNG, and Clean Diesel drivetrains. These modern powertrains deliver higher energy efficiency and proudly carry forward the legacy of Eicher as the “Mileage ka Badshah.”
A major strength in Eicher’s energy-saving journey is its connected vehicle ecosystem.
More than 3,87,000 Eicher trucks and buses currently use the MyEicher digital platform to:
Reduce idling
Improve fuel economy
Increase fleet utilization
Lower on-road energy intensity
This predictive and data-driven approach helps fleet owners save energy across daily operations.
VECV is rapidly increasing its use of renewable energy. The company has already begun expanding production through a 6 MW solar installation. Its ambitious target is to achieve 70% renewable energy usage by FY27.
Eicher is also working towards becoming Water Positive by 2030, showing a strong commitment toward environmental conservation.
Eicher’s smart Bhopal manufacturing plant remains a key enabler of sustainable production. The facility is designed with advanced automation, digital intelligence, and responsible resource management.

These advanced systems together create a resource-efficient and environmentally friendly manufacturing ecosystem.
Under its “Pro-Profit, Pro Planet” philosophy, Eicher is actively promoting initiatives such as:
Waste minimization
Plantation drives
Emission reduction
Zero Waste to Landfill programs
These actions are aligned with key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 6, 7, 12, and 13).
As India moves forward in its Amrit Kaal journey, Eicher Trucks & Buses aims to modernize commercial transportation in a responsible way. The company is focusing on:
Reducing energy consumption at the source
Optimising energy use during operations
Supporting scalable, efficient, and sustainable logistics and mobility across the country
Eicher Trucks & Buses has strengthened its commitment to clean, efficient and future-ready mobility on National Energy Conservation Day. By expanding renewable energy, promoting connected fleets, and adopting smart manufacturing, the company is reducing energy use at every stage. Its Industry 4.0-enabled Bhopal plant, alternate-fuel vehicles, and sustainability programs show how Eicher is shaping greener transportation.
