Mission Shakti is a visionary initiative focused on improving interventions for women's safety, security, and empowerment in India. It seeks to address issues affecting women across their life cycle and make them equal partners in nation-building. Mission Shakti's goal is to provide short- and long-term services and information for the full growth and empowerment of all women and girls, especially those who are differently abled, socially and economically excluded, and vulnerable.

Mission Shakti comprises two subschemes: 'Sambal' and 'Samarthya'. One of the key components of Mission Shakti is the promotion of women’s entrepreneurship through the E-Rickshaw initiative.

Women will be seen operating auto and electric three-wheelers in addition to roadways buses in city. The state government is continually highlighting the importance of integrating women into society. The Uttar Pradesh Yogi government is now providing women with e-rickshaw training programs as part of the Mission Shakti scheme to boost self-employment.

The government will provide free e-auto rickshaw training to women as part of this initiative, as well as easy access to driving permits. As a result, it is believed that women in Uttar Pradesh may soon be seen driving the three-wheelers, in addition to playing a part in common public transportation.

The government would provide a subsidy of 50,000 rupees to women who purchase e-rickshaws. In addition, the remaining money will be financed through the Nationalized Bank. The E-Rickshaw Scheme

The E-Rickshaw Scheme under Mission Shakti encourages women to become self-reliant by venturing into the e-rickshaw business. Mission Shakti Yojana is Uttar Pradesh's ambitious project, under which focus is placed on women's self-employment.
