Key Highlights:

Zero-emission truck manufacturing company, Blue Energy Motors, has announced that it has saved 7,500 tons of CO2 emissions since deploying its LNG-powered trucks. This reduction in emissions is equivalent to the carbon absorption capacity of 300,000 mature trees over the course of one year.

Supporting India's LNG Mission

Blue Energy’s achievement aligns with the Indian government's LNG mission, which promotes cleaner fuel alternatives in the transport sector. The company manufactures LNG trucks that emit up to 30% less CO2 compared to conventional diesel trucks. In addition, these trucks reduce particulate matter, sulfur oxides, and noise pollution.

CEO's Vision for a Sustainable Future

Anirudh Bhuwalka, CEO of Blue Energy Motors, expressed his pride in achieving this milestone, stating that it is a testament to the company's commitment to sustainable transportation solutions. He emphasized that Blue Energy will continue investing in innovative clean energy technologies to drive the logistics industry toward a greener future.

Expanding the LNG Truck Fleet

Blue Energy Motors has steadily grown its fleet of LNG trucks, offering the logistics industry a sustainable option for long-haul transportation. These trucks have been particularly useful for Fortune 500 companies across India, helping to reduce pollution while maintaining efficient logistics operations.

Bharat Stage Norms and Emission Control

India's Bharat Stage (BS) norms are the main regulatory framework controlling vehicle emissions. Since October 2020, India has adopted BS VI norms for heavy-duty vehicles, which have drastically lowered permissible levels of pollutants like nitrogen oxides, particulate matter, hydrocarbons, and carbon monoxide.

Government's Push for Cleaner Fuels

The government's LNG mission aims to reduce the country's reliance on diesel, a major contributor to pollution, by promoting LNG as a cleaner fuel alternative. LNG offers lower carbon emissions and significantly cuts down harmful particulate matter and nitrogen oxides, making it an attractive option for cleaner air.
