India has recently seen an increase in demand for electric three-wheelers in the last-mile delivery segment, particularly in the L5N (goods) category.
Altigreen collaborates with Bolt.Earth to deploy affordable charging points in the first month, and 5,000 charging sites over the next three years.
Altigreen has announced a collaboration with Bolt.Earth, a charging infrastructure provider, to alleviate range anxiety among electric three-wheeler users by deploying 100 3.3 kW affordable charging points in the first month, and over 5,000 charging sites over the next three years.
India has recently witnessed an increase in the demand for electric three-wheelers, particularly in the last-mile delivery segment, where electric three-wheelers have made a significant impact, now accounting for 21 per cent penetration in the L5N (goods) category. However, despite this surge in electric three-wheeler adoption, the existing charging infrastructure in India remains inadequate to fully support this electrification trend.
Recognizing the critical need to bridge this infrastructure gap, Altigreen and Bolt.Earth has come together to resolve the issue of range anxiety that is deterring many fossil-fuel three-wheeler users from transitioning to electric vehicles. This collaboration will ensure that EV drivers in all regions have easy access to cutting-edge charging facilities.
"The partnership will increase EV confidence among Altigreen's customers, dealers, and lease operators through accessible and cost-effective charging. We are addressing the important issue of range anxiety, which has hampered the broad adoption of electric 3-wheelers, by teaming forces. We hope to empower customers and build faith in the possibilities of electric vehicles by deploying accessible and affordable charging outlets. This collaboration is a step toward a future in which electric mobility is easily incorporated into our daily lives," says Dr. Amitabh Saran, Founder and CEO of Altigreen.

"Our partnership with Altigreen is in perfect alignment with our mission to position India as a prominent hub for the electric three-wheeler market," said Raghav Bharadwaj, Head of Strategy and Thought Leadership at Bolt.Earth.
Altigreen will engage in cross-promotional initiatives to educate electric three-wheeler riders about Bolt.Earth's app, which allows drivers to easily discover local charging points.
