About EcoVadis

EcoVadis is the world's leading provider of corporate sustainability ratings, assessing organizations based on four pillars: the environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

Companies in the top 1% (99+ percentile) obtain platinum rankings, followed by gold in the top 5% (95+ percentile), silver in the top 15% (85+ percentile), and bronze in the top 35% (65+ percentile).

Apollo Tyres' overall performance score improved significantly in FY24, rising to the 92nd percentile from the 82nd percentile the previous year.

This significant improvement was fueled mostly by a 20-point gain in the Labour and Human Rights category and a 10-point increase in the Sustainable Procurement category. Despite gains in these areas, scores in the Environment and Ethics categories remained unchanged from the previous year.

Apollo Tyres' improved rankings in Labour and Human Rights and Sustainable Procurement can be attributed to a number of strategic efforts. The company has made a determined effort to improve its suppliers' Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) audits, ensuring that its supply chain meets high sustainability requirements.

Furthermore, Apollo Tyres has been actively committed in developing job opportunities for local communities, with a special emphasis on empowering women. These activities have contributed to the improvement of these communities' socioeconomic conditions as well as the promotion of sustainable development.

Furthermore, Apollo Tyres has placed a high priority on raising human rights awareness among its staff through extensive training programs.

These programs seek to educate employees on their rights and responsibilities, as well as to foster an organizational culture of respect and justice. The company's commitment to these principles is shown in its higher scores in the Labour and Human Rights category.
