In the domestic market, Ashok Leyland witnessed a 14.36% decrease in sales, with 13,025 commercial vehicles sold in January 2024, compared to 15,209 units in the same month last year.
Ashok Leyland, India's leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, reported a 12.07% decline in overall sales for January 2024, encompassing both domestic and export markets.
In the domestic market, Ashok Leyland witnessed a 14.36% decrease in sales, with 13,025 commercial vehicles sold in January 2024, compared to 15,209 units in the same month last year.
On a positive note, the company experienced a remarkable 247.76% increase in export sales, with 466 units shipped in January 2024, up from 134 units in January 2023.

M&HCV Truck Segment: The overall commercial vehicle sales in M&HCV Truck Segment for January 2024 witnessed a 17% decline, with 7,581 units sold, compared to 9,119 units in January 2023.
LCV Category: The Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) category saw an 11% dip, with 5,444 units sold in January 2024 compared to 6,090 units in the same month last year.

Export CV Sales (January 2024)
Growth in M&HCV Category: The Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicle (M&HCV) truck category reported a sales growth of 155.41%, with 189 units sold in January 2024 compared to 74 units in January 2023.
Remarkable Growth in LCV Category: Ashok Leyland witnessed an impressive sales growth of 361.67% in the LCV category, with 277 units sold in January 2024, up from 60 units in January 2023.

Overall Decrease: The company recorded a 12.07% decrease in Gross Commercial Vehicle Sales, including a 15% decline in M&HCV categories and a 7% decline in LCV.
Total Units Sold: In January 2024, Ashok Leyland sold a total of 13,491 commercial vehicles, down from 15,343 units in the same month last year.
Category-wise Breakdown: The M&HCV Trucks category sold 7,770 units (January 2024) compared to 9,193 units (January 2023), and LCVs sales reached 5,721 units (January 2024) compared to 6,150 units (January 2023).
