Ashok Leyland, India's leading commercial vehicle manufacturer and the flagship of the Hinduja Group, has secured a substantial order from the Karnataka State Transport Undertakings for a total of 1225 fully built Viking buses. The delivery of these buses is scheduled to be completed by April 2024.
In a recent press release, the company revealed that it has been the preferred brand for Karnataka State Transport Undertakings (STUs), with a fleet of more than 11,680 operational buses. The newly ordered buses will comply with AIS153 standards, emphasizing superior passenger comfort and safety for both passengers and drivers.
