Commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland sold a total of 11,524 units in May 2023, including medium and heavy commercial vehicles and light commercial vehicles, compared to 12,175 units in May 2022. There is a decline of 3.95% in year-on-year sales.

Ashok Leyland is generally acknowledged as India’s most dependable commercial vehicle manufacturer. The sales report for May 2023 has been released by Ashok Leyland, the flagship company of the Hinduja Group. Total vehicle sales, including domestic and exports, declined by 5.34%.

CV sales were 11,361 units in May 2023, up from 11,829 units in May 2022, representing a 3.95% decrease.

Ashok Leyland Domestic Sales

The Ashok Leyland Commercial Vehicle Sales Report showed a 3.95% decrease in May 2023. As per the sales data, 11,361 units were sold in May 2023 as compared to 11,829 units in May 2022.

Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles

The company sold 6,573 units in May 2023 as compared to 6,639 units in May 2022. It experienced a decline in Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles sales of 1.00%.

Light Commercial Vehicle

The company sold 4,788 units in May 2023 as compared to 5,190 units in May 2022. It had an 8.00% decrease in Light Commercial Vehicle sales.

Ashok Leyland Export Sales

In May 2023, Ashok Leyland Export commercial vehicle sales data 2023 showed a decline of 52.89%. It sold 163 units in May 2023, compared to 346 units in May 2022. The brand experienced a decline of 58.17% and 44.92% in the M&HCV segment and LCV segment, respectively.

The company sold 87 commercial vehicle units in May 2023, compared to 208 units in May 2022, in the M&HCV category. The company exports 76 commercial vehicle units in May 2023, compared to 138 units in May 2022, in the LCV category.

According to the sales data for May month, the company experienced a decrease in sales in all segments for both domestic and export markets.
