At the Auto Expo 2023 event, the joint venture Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV) displayed a variety of its products. India's longest 13.5m electric bus in India was unveiled at the event by the joint venture between Volvo and Eicher Motors. The joint venture also unveiled the electric truck Eicher Pro 2049.
Both vehicles were designed specifically to meet the demands for clean transport in long-haul applications. A hydrogen ICE engine and a prototype hydrogen fuel cell truck were also on display. The electric intercity bus can travel for 30 to 40 minutes of charging and has a range of up to 500 kilometres. The joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors claims that the 13.5-meter-long electric intercity bus is the longest EV in the market.

An LNG truck was also displayed by Volvo. Once India's LNG ecosystem is established, the company will launch the same product. The 9,600 Premium Electric Coach from Volvo has also been on display in India in an effort to promote ecotourism there.
The Eicher Pro 8055 LNG/CNG truck, which is specifically designed to meet the needs for clean transport in long-haul applications, is also on display. While managing longer range on LNG, the Eicher Pro 8055 is capable of switching to CNG fuel with the flip of a switch, making it well suited to take advantage of the rapidly expanding CNG distributor network.
