Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) launched its EV fast charging stations on two major corridors in the southern Indian region, Bangalore to Chennai and Bangalore to Mysore to Coorg National Highway.

The company wishes to convert its 7,000 regular retail outlets into energy stations to provide various fueling options to vehicle owners. This transformation also aims to ensure proper charging facilities for electric vehicles in the medium and long term. BPCL will strategically set up its charging units at nine of its fuel stations, an average distance of 100 km on both sides of the routes.
As per the company's statement, it's planning to provide EV charging stations at its fuel pumps in timely intervals on the major highways connecting major cities and economic zones of the country.
The official citing of PTI highlighted that BPCL aims to focus on the new business opportunity and convert its 7,000 regular fuel outlets into energy stations to provide fuels to multiple types of vehicles, including EVs.
So, if you also own an electric vehicle and cover a long distance on national highways, soon you will have EV charging stations from the company to charge your vehicle at your convenience. Moreover, you will also be able to avail of other required facilities from the charging stations.
