This setup supports both passenger cars and electric trucks, making it one of the first hubs in India designed for such a wide range of electric vehicles.
Key Highlights:
ChargeZone, a leading EV charging network in India, has launched its first charging hub in Gujarat, equipped with advanced Kempower technology. Located at the Shreenath Food Hub, this new hub serves as a key stop along a major highway, making it easier for electric vehicle (EV) drivers traveling between Ahmedabad and Mumbai to charge their vehicles.
Advanced Charging System
The hub is powered by a 400 kW Kempower Power Unit charging system. It features two double-output and one single-output Kempower Satellite with CCS2 connectors. This setup supports both passenger cars and electric trucks, making it one of the first hubs in India designed for such a wide range of electric vehicles.
Improving EV Infrastructure
Carlo Cecchi, Director of New Markets at Kempower, shared, “We’re excited to work with ChargeZone to build high-quality fast-charging hubs. Our goal is to ensure reliability and fast charging for drivers, encouraging more people to adopt electric vehicles.”
Efficient Power Distribution
The Kempower DC charging system at the hub optimizes charging efficiency by distributing power dynamically across five connectors, reducing wait times. Additionally, the Kempower ChargEye cloud-based management system helps ChargeZone manage and distribute power effectively, allowing more vehicles to charge at the same time.
Collaborative Effort for Better Infrastructure
Kartikey Hariyani, Founder & CEO of ChargeZone, emphasized the significance of integrating Kempower’s advanced technology, saying, “This collaboration will enhance the charging experience and support India’s shift towards high-capacity chargers.”
Alfredo Couturier, Managing Director of WBG, added, “Our combined efforts will address the charging infrastructure challenges in India, making reliable charging services more widely available, especially for commercial fleets and heavy-duty vehicles.”
A Step Towards Intercity and Interstate EV Travel
This launch is a major step forward in strengthening India's e-mobility infrastructure and supporting the growth of electric vehicles across the country. The hub will play a key role in facilitating long-distance travel for EV drivers.

CMV360 Says
The new EV charging hub by ChargeZone in Gujarat is a great step forward for India's electric vehicle infrastructure. It’s good to see both passenger cars and trucks being supported, and the use of Kempower technology will make charging faster and more efficient. However, while this is a positive development, there’s still a need for more charging stations across the country, especially in rural areas, to truly support the shift to electric vehicles.
