Daimler India CV sells 29,470 vehicles, a 25% increase from the previous year.

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, announced that the fiscal year 2022 becomes one of its most profitable since beginning manufacturing operations in India. Despite supply chain difficulties and an adverse cost environment, the company says it sold 29,470 commercial vehicles, growing revenue by 37% and sales by 25% over 2021.

Fresh Bus launches an e-bus fleet for the Bengaluru-Tirupati route.

Fresh Bus, a new-generation intercity EV bus service, announced the inauguration of its first electric bus fleet on the Bengaluru-Tirupati route. Fresh Bus intends to provide a futuristic alternative for quick, economical, and environmentally responsible intercity bus travel in India by using state-of-the-art electric buses.

Rapido Launches National Road Safety Program; installed seatbelts in Auto-rickshaws in Bengaluru

Rapido, the Swiggy-backed Bengaluru-based ride-hailing app, has launched a state-wide safety campaign, #RapidoSafetyFirst, in which it is installing seatbelts in Bengaluru's auto-rickshaws. According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, over 1.5 lakh people die on Indian roads each year. As part of this program, the firm is installing seat belts in Bengaluru auto-rickshaws to lessen the likelihood of accidents, fatalities, and injuries caused by sudden stops or crashes.

Etrio, in collaboration with Egreen Planet Solutions, opens its first dealership in Coimbatore.

Etrio has opened its new and first dealership in Coimbatore, as the Hyderabad-based electric vehicle manufacturer seeks to grow its footprint to twenty cities across twelve states this year, up from 10 locations in seven states currently.
According to the press release, Etrio has teamed with Egreen Planet Solutions as its retailer covering the Coimbatore and Tiruppur districts.

Mahindra Introduces New Bolero MaXX Pik-up Range Starting at Rs. 7.85 Lakh

Mahindra, the well-known commercial vehicle maker, has introduced a new line of their renowned Mahindra Bolero MaXX Pik-up vehicles. The starting price for this range is Rs. 7.85 Lakhs* (ex-showroom). Furthermore, all new models will be available in both the HD Series and the City Series. The HD series has four variants: 2.0L, 1.7L, 1.7, and 1.3; on the other hand, the City series has three variants: 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, and City CNG.

Cummins and Tata Motors Form New Partnership for Low- to zero-emissions mobility solutions technology

Tata Motors and Cummins have been working together in India for 30 years through their joint venture Tata Cummins (TCPL), which was formed in 1993. Jennifer Rumsey, President and CEO of Cummins, and Girish Wagh, Executive Director of Tata Motors, signed the agreement at the Cummins Inc. headquarters in Columbus. Cummins and Tata Motors have agreed to collaborate on the development of low- to zero-emissions technology products in India over the next few years.

Godawari Electric Motors opens a new showroom in New Delhi.

Godawari Electric Motors, the manufacturer of the Eblu product line, has opened a new showroom in Shahdara, New Delhi, called Santosh Tyres & Wheels. The company's second showroom is in the Delhi-NCR area. The first showroom was opened in Gurugram.

Ashok Leyland LCV establishes a new dealership in Jammu

The Hinduja Group's flagship, Ashok Leyland, has opened a Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) dealership in Jammu. The company presently provides a variety of LCV products such as the Bada Dost, Dost, Partner, and MiTR. This is J&K's second LCV dealership. Ashok Leyland's extensive network of over 1700 exclusive outlets ensures that an approved service centre is located every 75 kilometres on major highways.
