FlixBus India Introduces Electric Bus Service on First Anniversary

FlixBus India launched an electric bus service between Hyderabad and Vijayawada with ETO Motors. Operations start in late February with four buses, following a test run. The buses have GPS, dashcams, ADAS, and use 240 KW fast chargers. FlixBus India connected 200 cities in a year, expanding to 400+ routes in the South and 500 in the North. The company aims for carbon neutrality by 2050. This initiative improves travel and supports eco-friendly transportation in India.

FADA Sales Report January 2025: CV sales increased by 8.22% YoY

Commercial vehicle sales in January 2025 grew by 8.22% YoY and 38.04% MoM, with urban markets contributing 51.2%. LCV sales surged 41.76% from December 2024. Tata Motors led with a 31.57% market share, while Mahindra & Mahindra showed strong growth. Infrastructure slowdowns and financing issues affected rural sales. Total CV sales reached 99,425 units. Electric 3W L5 Sales Report January 2025: MLMM and Bajaj Auto Emerges as Top Choice

India’s E3W sales in January 2025 showed mixed trends. Passenger E3W L5 sales rose to 12,885 units, marking strong y-o-y growth. Mahindra Last Mile Mobility’s sales increased by 77%, while Bajaj Auto led E3W goods L5 sales with 480 units. Omega Seiki and Euler Motors recorded m-o-m growth. The cargo E3W L5 segment grew to 2,490 units. Passenger E3Ws saw rising demand, while goods E3Ws had mixed results, with some brands thriving and others declining.

VECV Sales Report January 2025: 6,295 Units Sold; Sales Grew By 18.17%

VECV's sales grew 18.17% in January 2025, reaching 6,295 units. Eicher Trucks saw a 19.14% rise with 5,794 units sold. The LD & LMD segment grew 17.94%, while the Heavy Duty segment increased 21.50%. Exports surged 30.47%, with heavy-duty exports soaring 214.30%. However, Volvo Trucks' sales dropped 19.71% to 167 units. Despite Volvo's decline, VECV and Eicher performed strongly in both domestic and export markets, reinforcing their growth momentum in India's commercial vehicle sector.

Mahindra Sales Report January 2025: Experienced Growth of 7.69% in Domestic CV Sales

Mahindra's domestic commercial vehicle sales rose by 7.69% in January 2025, reaching 31,369 units. The LCV <2T segment declined by 12%, while LCV 2T-3.5T grew by 5%, and LCV >3.5T + MHCV increased by 2%. Three-wheeler sales, including electric models, surged by 31.92%. Export sales saw a massive 95% growth, reaching 3,404 units. Mahindra's diverse vehicle range and strong global presence continue to drive its market position, though the LCV <2T segment requires attention.

Ashok Leyland Sales Report January 2025: Reports 4.50% Growth

Ashok Leyland's sales grew by 4.50% in January 2025, reaching 14,098 units. M&HCV sales rose 6% to 8,269 units, while domestic sales increased by 2.13% to 13,302 units. Export sales saw a strong 70.82% growth, with 796 units shipped. M&HCV exports surged 127.51% to 430 units. LCV sales remained stable domestically but grew 32.31% in exports. The company’s strong performance highlights steady domestic demand and significant global expansion, marking a positive start to the year.

Tata Motors Sales Report January 2025: Domestic CV Sales Declined by 2%

Tata Motors' domestic sales fell by 7% to 78,159 units in January 2025. HCV truck sales rose 1% to 8,990 units, ILMCV sales increased 12% to 5,298 units, and passenger carriers grew 18% to 4,582 units. SCV cargo and pickup sales declined 15% to 11,213 units. CV IB sales surged 31% to 1,905 units. Total MH&ICV sales reached 16,076 units. While heavy and international vehicle sales improved, small commercial vehicle demand weakened.

Eicher Secures Landmark Order of 1,621 Buses and 42 Trucks from UPSRTC

Eicher Trucks & Buses has secured an order from UPSRTC for 1,621 buses and 42 heavy-duty trucks. The deal includes 1,344 non-AC buses, 197 AC buses, 80 CNG bus chassis, and 42 Pro 3019 trucks, supporting Uttar Pradesh’s transport modernization. Eicher’s vehicles feature fuel-efficient BSVI engines, intelligent systems, and durable designs. The company also offers Lifetime Support Solutions for reliability. This order strengthens Eicher’s market position and aligns with the state’s push for better public transport and logistics infrastructure.

Mahindra Tractors Sales Report Jan 2025: 15% Growth, 26,305 Units Sold

Mahindra Tractors reported a 15% rise in domestic sales, reaching 26,305 units in January 2025. Total sales, including exports, hit 27,557 units, with exports growing by 28%. Year-to-date domestic sales increased by 10% compared to FY 2024. Favorable monsoon conditions, high reservoir levels, and government support boosted demand. Mahindra's focus on innovation and market expansion is driving sustained growth, ensuring a strong year ahead.

Escorts Kubota Tractor Sales Drop 10.7% in January 2025 – Export Sales Rose by 66%

Escorts Kubota’s domestic tractor sales fell 10.7% to 6,058 units in January 2025, while total sales declined 6.7% to 6,669 units. However, exports surged 66% to 611 units. For April-Jan FY25, total sales dropped 1.2% to 95,590 units, with exports down 18.9%. Despite the slowdown, the company expects demand recovery due to rabi sowing, harvesting, and festivals. Strong export growth provides some balance, and the coming months will be key in determining overall market stability.

VST Tractor Sales Report for January 2025: 311 Tractors & 3,105 Power Tillers Sold

VST reported a 17.6% decline in total sales for January 2025, selling 3,416 units. Tractor sales dropped 4.60% to 311 units, while power tiller sales fell 18.72% to 3,105 units. YTD tractor sales rose 1.87% to 4,308 units, but power tiller sales declined 5.6% to 27,124 units. Overall, YTD sales fell 4.65%. The company faces challenges in demand and market conditions, requiring strategic efforts to improve performance in the coming months.

Sonalika achieved a record-breaking sale of 10,350 tractors in January 2025, marking its highest-ever monthly sales. CNH India Aims to Double New Holland’s Tractor Market Share by 2030

CNH India plans to double New Holland’s tractor market share by 2030 by expanding its dealer network from 500 to 800 and increasing production from 70,000 to 1 lakh units annually. In 2024, the company sold 37,000 tractors domestically and exported 10,000 units. With a Rs 7,500 crore turnover, tractors contributed 65% of its business. India serves as a key manufacturing hub for CNH, driving global growth. The company aims to strengthen its market position through strategic expansion and innovation.
