This achievement, marked by the rollout of an Eicher Skyline Pro E electric bus, demonstrates the company's commitment to meeting India's evolving public transport needs.

Diverse Bus Manufacturing

Since its inauguration in 2013, the Baggad Plant has manufactured a wide range of buses, including light, medium, and heavy-duty variants. These buses come with diesel, CNG, and electric drivelines, catering to both domestic and international markets. The plant serves various segments, such as school buses, staff transportation, route permit buses, intercity buses, and tourist buses.

Advanced Manufacturing Facility

The Baggad Plant is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including advanced robotic paint systems and Integrated Management Systems certification. This highlights Eicher's focus on efficiency, quality, and environmental stewardship. The factory's modern infrastructure supports the production of high-quality buses while maintaining environmental sustainability.

Commitment to Sustainability

Eicher Trucks & Buses has implemented robust sustainability initiatives at the Baggad Plant. The factory uses advanced energy management systems, such as VFD-enabled panels and energy-efficient motors, to optimize energy use and minimize waste. The plant operates on 42% renewable energy sources, including solar and mini-hydel power. Additionally, it received Platinum Green Factory building certification from IGBC in 2016 and was awarded Smart Factory of the Year in 2021.

Future of Alternative Fuel Technologies

Looking ahead, Eicher Trucks & Buses is committed to advancing alternative fuel technologies like CNG, LNG, and HCNG (hydrogen compressed natural gas), alongside its electric vehicle initiatives. The 50,000th bus, the Skyline Pro-E 9m model, represents the latest advancements in electric vehicle technology. Designed for urban environments, it features high-energy storage batteries and a reliable all-electric driveline, ensuring efficient, clean, and quiet operation.
