Electric three-wheeler sales increased by 11.28% year on year

The sales figures have experienced an incredible increase, showcasing the rising demand for eco-friendly alternatives in the automotive market.

According to Vahan Data, passenger and commercial electric 3-wheeler sales totalled 32,793 units at the end of the month.

In July 2023, there has been a remarkable surge in electric three-wheeler sales, reflecting a growing trend towards sustainable transportation. This year has seen tremendous growth in the electric three-wheeler segment. It is on the rise, with the electrification of 3W intending to provide the country with a cleaner and greener transportation future.

E3W sales increased dramatically in July 2023 as well. According to Vahan Data, passenger and commercial electric 3-wheeler sales totalled 32,793 units at the end of the month. Overall, sales of electric three-wheelers increased by 11.28% year on year. Over the previous month, the passenger and cargo divisions increased by 21% and 23%, respectively.

In July 2023, Mahindra remained the market leader, followed by Piaggio Vehicles, Omega Seiki, E Royce Motors India, and then Euler Motors.

  1. Mahindra Last Mile Mobility sold 3,066 units and maintains its first position.
  2. Piaggio Vehicles sold 1,976 units, showing excellent performance and maintaining its second position with a 26% market share.
  3. Omega Seiki Mobility sold 344 units and climbed to third place in July, gaining a 5% market share.
  4. E Royce Motors India comes at fourth position after selling only 316 three-wheelers in July, accounting for 4% of the market.
  5. Euler Motors sold 282 units and accounts market with a 4% market share.

Despite the decline in FAME II subsidies, the electric three-wheeler market continues to grow in both July and cumulative sales. The passenger and commercial electric three-wheeler segments had significant growth as a result of continued demand for passenger transportation, last-mile operations, and a variety of other uses.
