According to a shared report, truck sales in September 2023 were 80,804, surpassing the 77,054 units sold in September 2022. As a result, sales increased by 4.87%.
The September month showcased a high demand in coal, cement, and general market load sectors. As per the FADA officials, this favourable trend can be attributed to the Central Government's adequate deployment of funds for infrastructure development, which created a perfect environment for bulk deals, particularly in Tippers and government sectors. Furthermore, there was an improvement in the HCVs, Buses, and LCVs market.
Tata Motors sold 29,229 CV units in September 2023, compared to 30,214 units in September 2022. According to the report, the brand's sales have decreased by 3.26%.
Mahindra and Mahindra sold 20,694 CV units in September 2023, compared to the 18,358 units in September 2022. As a result, the brand's September sales increased by 12.72%.
Ashok Leyland sold 12,690 CV units in September 2023, compared to 12,470 units in September 2022. As a result, the brand's September sales increased by 1.76%.
VECV is a joint venture of Volvo Trucks India and Eicher Trucks. The brand sold 5,694 CV units in September 2023, compared to the 4,983 units in September 2022. As a result, the brand's September sales increased by 14.27%.

Maruti Suzuki is steadily establishing a strong presence in the commercial vehicle sector. In September 2023, the brand sales increased by 9.66%. They sold 3,486 units in September 2023 and 3,179 units in September 2022.
Daimler India, also known as BharatBenz Trucks, had the highest growth percentage in September 2023. In September 2023, the brand sold 1,673 Commercial Vehicles, up from 1,197 in September 2022. As a result, it had a 39.77% increase in sales.
Force Motors is a well-known commercial vehicle manufacturer. Force sold 1,258 units in September, compared to 1,093 units in September of last year. As a result, it had a 15.10% increase in sales.
SML Isuzu sales increased by 2.56% in September 2023. In September 2023, the brand sold 760 CVs, compared to 741 units sold in September 2022.
Furthermore, all other brands contributed 5,320 CV units in September 2023, compared to 4,819 units in September of 2022. As a result, revenues increased by 10.40%.
