FADA Sales Report July 2024: Three-wheeler (3W) sales increased by 12.88% YoY

In the FADA sales report for July 2024, 1,10,497 units of three-wheelers were sold compared to 97,891 units in July 2023.

In the latest FADA Retail Sales Report for July 2024, the overall three-wheeler market saw a total of 1,10,497 units sold, up 17.15% from June 2024 and 12.88% from July 2023. Here's a breakdown for each category:

E-rickshaw (Passenger) sales reached 44,447 units, marking a 17.08% increase from the previous month and a modest 2.11% increase year-over-year. 

E-rickshaw with cart (Goods) sales were 5,186 units, up 12.45% from June 2024 and a significant 86.68% increase from July 2023.

For three-wheelers used for goods, 10,187 units were sold, reflecting a 13.71% increase month-over-month and a 5.65% increase year-over-year. 

The passenger three-wheeler segment sold 50,594 units, experiencing an 18.51% rise from June 2024 and a 20.84% increase compared to July 2023. 

The personal use three-wheeler category saw a decline, with 83 units sold, down 14.43% from the previous month, but still up 10.67% year-over-year.

Three-Wheeler FADA Sales Report: OEM-wise Sales Analysis

In July 2024, Bajaj Auto Ltd sold 38,728 vehicles, capturing 35.05% of the market, up from 34,104 vehicles and a 34.84% share in July 2023. 

Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd sold 8,439 vehicles in July 2024, holding 7.64% of the market, compared to 7,950 vehicles sold in July 2023. 

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited sold 7,650 vehicles in July 2024, with a 6.92% market share, up from 6,187 vehicles and a 6.32% market share in July 2023. Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Ltd, sold 7,545 vehicles, capturing 6.83% of the market in July 2024.

YC Electric Vehicle sold 3,857 vehicles in July 2024, holding 3.49% of the market, up from 3,595 vehicles and a 3.67% share in July 2023. 

Saera Electric Auto Pvt Ltd sold 2,573 vehicles in July 2024, with a 2.33% market share, down from 2,723 vehicles and a 2.78% share in July 2023. 

Atul Auto Ltd sold 2,376 vehicles in July 2024, capturing 2.15% of the market, up from 1,408 vehicles and a 1.44% share in July 2023. 

Dilli Electric Auto Pvt Ltd sold 2,268 vehicles in July 2024, with a 2.05% market share, slightly down from 2,473 vehicles and a 2.53% share in July 2023.

TVS Motor Company Ltd sold 1,981 vehicles in July 2024, capturing 1.79% of the market, up from 1,377 vehicles and a 1.41% share in July 2023. 

Mini Metro EV LLP sold 1,433 vehicles in July 2024, holding 1.30% of the market, down from 1,568 vehicles and a 1.60% share in July 2023. 

Unique International sold 1,340 vehicles in July 2024, with a 1.21% market share, compared to 1,301 vehicles sold in July 2023. 

Energy Electric Vehicles sold 1,240 vehicles in July 2024, capturing 1.12% of the market, up from 1,050 vehicles and a 1.07% share in July 2023.

Hotage India sold 1,205 vehicles in July 2024, holding 1.09% of the market, down from 1,246 vehicles and a 1.27% share in July 2023. 

Allfine Industries Pvt Ltd sold 1,126 vehicles in July 2024, compared to 1,013 vehicles sold in July 2023. 

Other brands, including electric vehicles, sold 36,281 vehicles in July 2024, capturing 32.83% of the market, up from 31,896 vehicles and a 32.58% share in July 2023.

Overall, the market saw a total of 110,497 three-wheelers sold in July 2024, up from 97,891 in July 2023.
