The Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative (IFFCO) recently announced its intention to purchase 2,500 drones for its 'IFFCO Kisan Drones' initiative. The cooperative's goods, nano urea and nano DAP (Diammonium Phosphate), will be sprayed by these drones.

IFFCO will also educate and mentor 5,000 rural entrepreneurs to operate these spraying drones. The firm will also acquire 2,500 electric three-wheelers of the loader type to transport the drones and accompanying fertilisers efficiently.

IFFCO has recently purchased tractor-mounted boom sprayers, tractor-mounted hose reel sprayers, HTP power sprayers with a gun, static/portable sprayers, and Niyo sprayers specifically for the foliar application of nano fertilisers to boost the statewide campaign.

Agricultural sprayers and drones are used to apply these nano fertilizers to various crops. According to the farmer cooperative, both drones and sprayers are adaptable and may be utilized for any type of spraying application.

IFFCO will use the services of the Drone Federation of India, a New Delhi-based consultant, to obtain access to technological capabilities, production capacity, manufacturing processes, quality procedures, training curriculum, and infrastructure.

The consultant reviewed the specifications and determined that the technical specifications of the agricultural drones purchased by IFFCO to spray nano fertilizer fit industry requirements. Each drone is expected to spray IFFCO nano fertilisers, water-soluble fertilisers (WSF), bio-stimulants such as Sagarika, and agrochemicals over an area of 20 acres every day.

IFFCO is actively working to provide farmers with cutting-edge technology solutions such as nano urea and nano DAP. IFFCO seeks to play a major role in modernizing Indian agriculture and supporting sustainable agricultural methods through its dedication to agro-technology, which includes nanotechnology-based fertilizers, agri-drones, rural e-commerce, and the Internet of Things.

They aspire to be a trusted brand that connects with forward-thinking rural businesses and encourages the adoption of new solutions for the benefit of agriculture in India.
