With the rising demand for hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) design professionals, IIT Delhi's program addresses this gap. The program is designed to equip engineers with skills in various aspects of HEV development.
Industry Growth and Demand
According to Arthur D. Little's report, India’s automotive industry is projected to be worth $1 trillion by 2035. Additionally, research firm Counterpoint predicts a 66% growth in India’s EV market in 2024. This surge in demand highlights the need for skilled professionals in HEV design and development.
Program Details
The IITD Certificate Programme covers:
The curriculum includes live sessions by IITD faculty, industry insights, a Capstone project, and optional campus immersion at IIT Delhi’s Centre for Automotive Research and Tribology (CART). Participants will learn about energy storage systems, battery design, and HEV technologies.
Eligibility and Enrollment
The program is open to engineering graduates or diploma holders from recognized universities. It starts on September 29, 2024, with a fee of Rs 1,10,000 plus GST. Successful participants will receive a certificate of completion from CEP, IIT Delhi.
