In the month of May 2023, the Mahindra & Mahindra brand recorded a 4.51% increase in domestic sales. In May 2023, the company sold 25,913 commercial vehicle units, up from 24,794 in May 2022. Mahindra is a commercial vehicle market pioneer in the SCV and LCV segments.

Light commercial vehicle sales under 3.5 tons decreased by 7% to 16,140 units in May 2023, compared to 17,289 units in May 2022.
The sale of LCVs weighing more than 3.5 tonnes and Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles increased by 60% to 1,009 units in May 2023, compared to 632 units in May 2022. The sale of 3 Wheelers including electric three-wheelers increased by 61% to 5,851 units in May 2023, compared to 3,645 units in May 2022.

The Mahindra Export CV Sales Figure for May 2023 indicates a 29% increase. In May 2023, total export units are 2,616 up from 2,028 in May 2022.
“In May, we sold 33,931 units, representing a 23% increase in domestic sales. We delivered a significant YoY increase in 3-Wheelers as well as export categories. A short-term supplier outage in engine-related parts hampered sales volume for both SUVs and Pik-Ups. The semiconductor supply shortages for key parts, such as the Air Bag ECU, persisted throughout the month," says Veejay Nakra, President of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.'s Automotive Division.
