The Joburg Super Kings are a T20 cricket team located in Johannesburg. It is owned by Chennai-based CSLK Ltd., which also owns the Chennai Super Kings IPL (Indian Premier League) franchise.

The group of Mahindra, a well-known brand in the Indian automobile industry, has decided to sponsor a team in South Africa's T-20 cricket tournament. It will serve as the primary sponsor for the Joburg Super Kings (JSK).

Rajesh Gupta, the CEO of Mahindra South Africa, shared his excitement about teaming up with the Joburg Super Kings in the South Africa T20 cricket league. Gupta emphasized that the collaboration goes beyond cricket, describing it as an investment in the spirit of champions.

According to Gupta, "Partnering with the Joburg Super Kings is not just about cricket. It's about investing in the spirit of champions." He highlighted the Super Kings' global brand growth and popularity in South Africa, emphasizing Mahindra's commitment to values like authenticity.

Gupta pointed out that teamwork and partnerships, crucial in cricket, align with Mahindra's core values. He stated, "Teamwork and partnerships - essential on a cricket field - are synonymous with the core values of Mahindra and the value proposition we offer to our customers."

Expressing pride in the collaboration, Gupta concluded, "We are proud to be a part of this journey. We believe this will be a successful partnership."

Ankit Baldi, Head of the Joburg Super Kings franchise, expressed delight at the collaboration, emphasizing the importance of local brand support for the league's development. He said, “The Joburg Super Kings are pleased to partner with a global brand like Mahindra, which had a strong presence in South Africa for two decades."

Baldi highlighted the alignment with their campaign theme, "To Joburg We Belong," and expressed confidence in establishing a winning partnership on and off the field to achieve both organizations' goals. "We look forward to a long-standing partnership with Mahindra," he added.

The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, known as the Bullring, has been JSK's home ground, hosting historic events such as the 2007 T20 World Cup final and the 2010 Champions League T20 final where CSK emerged as champions. Mahindra's sponsorship signals a new chapter in the evolving cricketing landscape, merging automotive excellence with the spirit of champions on the cricket field.
