The Krish-e Smart Kit is an after-market gadget that gives equipment owners deep insights into their tractors and farm equipment via GPS-enabled time tracking and remote monitoring of numerous metrics from the comfort of a smartphone.

The Krish-e Smart Kit is a state-of-the-art program invented by Carnot Technologies, an agritech firm launched in 2015 by four IIT Bombay alumni who worked on solutions to track race vehicle performance from the pit. Carnot Technologies is now engaged in the manufacturing and marketing of internet-connected devices for monitoring the operation of vehicles and equipment, with Mahindra & Mahindra owning a large share in the company.

Features of Krish-e Intelligent Kit

  1. Tractors, harvesters, and rice transplanters of all brands can be easily tracked using a smartphone or a desktop computer.
  2. Accurate measuring boosts operator revenue.
  3. Reduces fuel costs by monitoring fuel levels and informing users when fuel theft occurs.
  4. Geofencing notifications are used to track overall fleet expenses.
  5. It includes advanced trip replay features.
  6. Also provides customers with pay-per-use access to an inventory of high-end farm machinery.

Price of Krish-e Intelligent Kit

The initial retail price of the Krish-e Intelligent Kit is INR 4,995. Krish-e presently has over 25,000 active members, 85% daily active users, 55 minutes per day spent on the app, and 70% resubscriptions after the free subscription period expires.

Individual farmers, institutional buyers, FPOs, and start-ups can purchase the Krish-e Smart Kit for INR 4,995 through their local Krish-e centre, the Krish-e website, or Krish-e Sahayaks by calling 1800-266-1555. The price includes taxes and a six-month subscription.

The Krish-e Smart Kit enables equipment owners and rental entrepreneurs to improve fleet performance, increase income, and control maintenance expenses while minimizing tractor downtime and avoiding unauthorized tractor use. A sophisticated trip replay feature is also included in the Smart Kit for tracking commercial transportation and trolley operations.

The kit is brand-independent and may be placed on any tractor or farm equipment, new or old, including harvesters, rice transplanters, and self-propelled sprayers. The kit comes with the Krish-e Rental Partner App, which is available on the Google Play Store.

Krish-e is a new business vertical from Mahindra that was launched in 2020. Krish-e provides technology-driven services to farmers and other value chain partners in order to sustainably reduce their income potential. With the tagline 'Expert Takneek. Naye Upay. Parinaam Dikhaye’. Krish-e services currently focus on Farm Guidance, Equipment Rental, and Used Equipment with an omni channel presence that comprises 150 Krish-e locations and app-based touch points.

Krish-e activities have been recognized and cited as an example of how businesses can engage with communities to maintain the sustainability of essential natural resources in the World Economic Forum's (WEF) January 2023 White Paper on "Accelerating Corporate Action on Climate Change Adaptation."
