Switch Mobility Ltd. (SWITCH), subsidiary of Hinduja Group's electric vehicle, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MoEVing, an electric mobility platform, to supply 2,500 units of its IeV4 electric light commercial vehicles. As per the company statement, five SWITCH IeV4 electric truck were delivered out of an initial order of 100.

Mahesh Babu, CEO of SWITCH Mobility Ltd., stated, "Our SWITCH IeV4, India's first eLCV in the 3.5-ton category, is built on a cutting-edge 310V high-voltage architecture for enhanced performance. Our vehicle has improved payload, expanded range, and maximised volumetric capacity, all of which result in a much lower TCO, making the SWITCH IeV4 the smarter choice for a greener future."

Vikash Mishra, the Founder and CEO of MoEVing, has announced plans to roll out this groundbreaking vehicle across all their customer networks. This move underscores their dedication to revolutionizing logistics through state-of-the-art solutions.

SWITCH IeV4

Switch Mobility recently unveiled the IeV4, a light commercial vehicle (LCV) variant of the SWITCH IeV Series. It has a range of 120 kilometers and is powered by a 32.2 kWh battery. It is equipped with 60 kW motor which gives 230 Nm torque. It offers a payload capacity of 1700 kg that is linked to a telematics solution.

The telematics solution system optimizes routes, encourages smart driving, minimizes breakdowns, and gives real-time data for simplified delivery, according to the company.

Applications of SWITCH IeV4

The company intends to produce around 3,000 units each year, catering to a variety of uses such as cargo transportation, containers, trash collection, and refrigerated vans. Switch Mobility has already signed MoUs for 12,000 to 13,000 e-LCVs, indicating strong early demand.
