Total Commercial Vehicle (CV) sales declined 4% in July to 32,944 units, down from 34,154 units the previous month.
Total sales for the MH&ICV Domestic & International Business, including trucks and buses, were 13,830 units in July 2023, compared to 12,974 units in July 2022.
Tata Motors Limited sold 80,633 automobiles in the domestic and international markets in July 2023, compared to 81,790 units in July 2022.
Domestic MH&ICV sales in July 2023, including trucks and buses, were 13,291 units, compared to 12,012 units in July 2022.
Total sales for the MH&ICV Domestic & International Business, including trucks and buses, were 13,830 units in July 2023, compared to 12,974 units in July 2022.
Total commercial vehicle sales were 32,944 units in July 2023, compared to 34,154 units in July 2022. Overall, Commercial vehicle sales are declining by 4%.
The company experienced a 14% increase in the HCV Trucks category and an 11% drop in the ILMCV category. The brand sold 8,502 units in July 2023 under the HCV Trucks category, compared to 7473, units sold in June 2022.
The ILMCV truck category, reported sales of 4,899 units in July 2023, compared to 5,524 units in July 2022.
The company experienced a 24% increase in Passenger Carriers and a 10% decline in SCV cargo and pickup Categories. In the Passenger Carriers category, the brand sold 4,292 units in July 2023, compared to 3,454 units sold in July 2022.
In the SCV cargo and pickup category, the brand sold 13,523 units in July 2023, compared to 15,022 units sold in July 2022.

Total domestic wholesales for the automaker fell modestly last month to 78,844 units, down from 78,978 units year on year. Total Commercial Vehicle (CV) sales declined 4% in July to 32,944 units, down from 34,154 units the previous month.
In the CV segment, total sales for MH&ICV Domestic & International Business in July 2023, comprising trucks and buses, were 13,830 units, up from 12,974 units in the previous year. In July, the business sold 6,329 EVs, increasing 53% from 4,151 units the previous year.
Looking ahead, Tata Motors is expected to maintain its growth trajectory as it plans to introduce more exciting products and expand its electric vehicle portfolio. The company's initiatives to embrace sustainable and eco-friendly technologies are in line with the global shift towards electric mobility.
