The company experienced a 19% increase in the HCV Trucks category and a 19% drop in the ILMCV category.

Total commercial vehicle sales were 34,314 units in June 2023, compared to 37,265 units in June 2022.

Tata Motors Limited sold 2,26,245 automobiles in the domestic and international markets in Q1 FY 2023-24, compared to 2,31,248 units in Q1 FY 2022-23.

Domestic MH&ICV sales in June 2023, including trucks and buses, were 13,980 units, compared to 13,366 units in June 2022; and 34,256 units in Q1 FY24, compared to 37,491 units in Q1 FY23.

Total sales for the MH&ICV Domestic & International Business, including trucks and buses, were 14,323 units in June 2023, compared to 14,362 units in June 2022; and 35,645 units in Q1 FY24, compared to 39,696 units in Q1 FY23. Overall, Commercial vehicle sales are declining.

Total commercial vehicle sales were 34,314 units in June 2023, compared to 37,265 units in June 2022. Overall, Commercial vehicle sales are declining by 8%.

HCV and ILMCV Trucks

The company experienced a 19% increase in the HCV Trucks category and a 19% drop in the ILMCV category. The brand sold 9,625 units in June 2023 under the HCV Trucks category, compared to 8,058 units sold in June 2022.

The ILMCV truck category, reported sales of 4,723 units in June 2023, compared to 5,851 units in June 2022.

Passenger Carriers and SCV cargo and pickup Category

The company experienced a 24% increase in Passenger Carriers and a 16% decline in SCV cargo and pickup Categories. In the Passenger Carriers category, the brand sold 4,810 units in June 2023, compared to 3,868 units sold in June 2022.
In the SCV cargo and pickup category, the brand sold 13, 990 units in June 2023, compared to 16,632 units sold in June 2022.

Total sales for the Domestic MH&ICV in June 2023, comprising trucks and buses, were 33,148 units, compared to 34,409 units in June 2022.

In the EV segment, the business reported its highest-ever quarterly sales of 19,346 in Q1 FY24, a 105% increase over Q1 FY23. This growth is being driven by a good market reaction to the Tiago EV, while demand for other EVs has remained stable.

The company anticipate that demand will remain strong as the festive season begins in the second half of Q2FY24. The supply situation is still stable.
