Built on Volvo's global BZR electromobility platform, this electric bus is designed to make the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system better by offering a cleaner, more efficient, and larger transportation option.

The 25.6-meter-long bi-articulated version can hold up to 300 passengers, while the articulated version has a capacity of 191. Both models are equipped with a 250 kWh charge capacity, ensuring reliable and efficient performance. The Volvo 7800 Electric aims to significantly reduce emissions in cities while addressing the growing demand for higher passenger capacity. The first deliveries of the bi-articulated and articulated models are expected in 2026, and they will be produced at Volvo Buses’ plant in Mexico.

Volvo Buses is offering a maintenance contract, spare parts access, and quick servicing to ensure maximum uptime and smooth operations for transport companies. The new electric bus will also come with Volvo's latest active safety features, prioritizing the safety of cyclists and pedestrians. To improve fleet management and operational efficiency, the Volvo 7800 Electric introduces a unique connection and circularity model specifically for the Mexican market.
