The collaboration will result in the development of a specialist credit course inside VIT's MTech program, aimed at providing students with the most up-to-date automotive industry innovations.

The formal MoU was signed by Kamal Bali, President and MD of Volvo Group India; Dr. T. Jayabarathi, Registrar; Dr. G. Viswanathan, Chancellor; and Dr. T P Ranjith, Head of Talent Acquisition India.

The partners will launch a specialised credit course inside VIT's MTech program that will provide students with the most up-to-date automotive industry technologies and practical skills, as well as a thorough understanding of industry trends, best practices, and real-world difficulties. The curriculum provides knowledge-sharing possibilities, such as joint classes with Volvo technical experts and VIT teachers.

Students enrolling in this program will have the option to intern at Volvo and maybe be hired as post-graduate engineering trainees in the organization. These internships will allow students to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real-world situation. Furthermore, it will enable students to begin their careers in the automobile industry.

Kamal Bali stated, "We are in the midst of a once-in-a-lifetime, ecosystem-wide transformation in our industry. However, no single stakeholder can shape the future. An ecosystem transition necessitates collaboration among stakeholders, including academic. With our partnership with VIT, we hope to cultivate talent and build a pipeline of qualified and industry-ready people who can drive innovation and excellence - and who will be the architects and leaders of the future we are crafting."
