Volvo Trucks and Delhivery collaborated in 2019 to launch the first FM 4x2 tractor-trailer system for rapid cargo logistics. Since then, the Volvo FM 420 4x2 tractor-trailer solution for express logistics has clocked up to 25,000km per month with great uptime, according to the business.
Volvo Trucks India, a company of VE Commercial Vehicles, has delivered its 325th tractor-trailer for express and B2B logistics operations to Delhivery Ltd, India's largest fully-integrated logistics services provider.
Furthermore, the two have signed a letter of intent for an additional 200 Volvo FM 420 4x2 tractor-trailer.

Commercial trials for Liquified Natural Gas Tractor Trailer solutions have been underway on certain routes since September 2022, with the results looking extremely positive, with greater fuel efficiency and decreased emissions.

According to Vinod Aggarwal, MD & CEO, of VE Commercial Vehicles, this is in accordance with the Government of India's objectives as stated in the National Logistics Policy and marks an important milestone in Volvo Trucks' journey in India's long-haul segment.

These tractor-trailers are important to our mid-mile strategy and help to make our network more efficient and sustainable.
