Investment and Partnership with Invest UP
The company has committed to investing ₹200 crore in Uttar Pradesh through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Invest UP. This collaboration is set to generate 500 direct jobs and benefit up to 100,000 people indirectly. The initiative aims to support the growing demand for quick battery swaps in cities across the state.
Expanding to Key Cities in Uttar Pradesh
Beyond Noida, Yuma Energy plans to expand to major cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Ghaziabad, and Varanasi. The expansion aligns with Yuma’s goal of establishing robust EV infrastructure across the state.
Efficient Battery Swapping Solutions
Currently, Yuma performs 1.5 million battery swaps each month nationwide. The company’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) system allows quick battery swaps in about a minute, offering users an efficient alternative to conventional charging.
Uttar Pradesh as a Leader in E-Mobility
Muthu Subramanian, Yuma Energy's General Manager, highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s leadership in e-mobility, especially in the 3-wheeler sector, attributing it to supportive policies.
Prathamesh Kumar, Additional Chief Executive Officer of Invest UP, expressed support, emphasizing the role of Invest UP in helping companies navigate regulatory processes.
Focus on Noida’s Energy Demand
Subramanian also noted that Noida’s fast-growing EV adoption calls for accessible energy solutions. Yuma’s BaaS network incorporates smart batteries and advanced connectivity for safety and reliability, aiming to keep EV users on the move.
