Zoho CEO Sridhar Vembu posted photographs of his electric three-wheeler on social media. The Padma Shri Awardee, who is the 55th richest person in India, with a net worth of $3.75 billion according to Forbes, posted images of his new Montra electric vehicle on X (previously Twitter).

Sridhar Vembu captioned the photographs, "I am thrilled that my brand new electric vehicle, Montra from the Murugappa Group, has arrived. Quick pickup and good suspension. I'm really enjoying it!"

"Electric three-wheelers are an amazing and safe alternative to scooters and motorcycles. I like to refer to it as the family scooter. Easy to get about in small areas, easier to park... E-autos will eventually become popular in the consumer sector. I hope the Montra gets through there," he said.

Social media users had different reactions to Sridhar Vembu's post. While one person commented, "Unfortunately, vehicles are considered outdated and not aspirational to most people as a personal transportation. Only those with a dual purpose (commercial and personal) may pursue it."

Another added, "I tried to convince my grandson (8 years old and born interested) to see it as a chariot, but other elders in the family discouraged him from dreaming. Meanwhile, foreigners organize "tuk tuk" rallies."
