Magenta Mobility, a developer of electric mobility solutions, has teamed with e-commerce company Flipkart to deploy 400 electric vehicles for its last-mile transportation operations in the Delhi NCR.
With this partnership, Magenta Mobility enters the National Capital Region (NCR) and will deploy around 400 electric cargo cars to the Flipkart fleet in the NCR. This deployment is in addition to the existing fleet operated by Magenta for Flipkart in Bengaluru.
The announcement was followed by a cargo vehicle flag-off ceremony at Flipkart's Inayatpur hub, presided over by Randheer Singh of NITI Aayog, Amit Kumar of Flipkart, Ms Sophia Nadur of BP Ventures, Ms Pooja Mehta of JITO Angel Network, and Maxson Lewis of Magenta Mobility.
In Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, Magenta Mobility operates an electric fleet of approximately 500 cars, servicing clients in e-commerce, grocery delivery, FMCG, food, and pharmaceuticals. To date, the brand's electric cargo fleet has logged over 1 million clean (electric) kilometers, equivalent to around 150 metric tons of CO2. This year, Magenta Mobility plans to deploy a fleet of over 500 EVs in Delhi to fulfil the demands of enterprises seeking to switch to clean mobility.

"We are happy to see Flipkart's rapid adoption of EVs in its fleet," stated Maxson Lewis, founder and MD of Magenta Mobility, of the cooperation. “We are committed to providing a clean, sustainable, and inexpensive last-mile delivery service across the country through our partnership with Flipkart," he added
Flipkart will use Magenta's Electric cargo fleets, including the recently introduced Mahindra Zor Grand, as well as select OEMs, to drive the rise of EV adoption for last-mile logistics. Flipkart intends to integrate more than 25,000 electric vehicles into its supply chain in order to achieve a complete transition to e-mobility by 2030.
Previously, the two companies collaborated to use electric vehicles for last-mile delivery services in Bengaluru. By the end of the year, the company hopes to have 500 electric cargo vans operating in the National Capital Region.
Euler Motor recently announced a partnership with Magenta to deploy 1000 HiLoad electric vehicles, which are electric three-wheeler cargo vehicles.
Aside from the Delhi-NCR region, Magenta Mobility currently operates a fleet of over 500 electric cargo vehicles in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Mumbai for clients in the e-commerce, grocery delivery, FMCG, food, and pharmaceutical industries. According to the company, its fleet has travelled over 1 million kilometers, or the equivalent of 150 metric tons of CO2.
