MRF has shared that Brand Finance has named it the world's second most valuable and strongest tyre brand, trailing only Michelin and Pirelli. The podium, however, has been taken by Sailun, a Chinese tyre manufacturer.
According to Brand Finance, a UK-based brand evaluation company, a brand's strength is assessed using a balanced scorecard of factors such as marketing investment, stakeholder equity, and business performance, and is used to determine what proportion of a company's revenue is contributed by the brand.
According to the most recent Brand Finance analysis on the world's most valuable and strongest tyre brands, MRF Limited has emerged as the world's second strongest tyre brand.

The survey also names MRF as the most valuable Indian tyre brand, with a high Sustainability Perception Value and the only Indian tyre maker in the top 10.
"MRF has scored good in all metrics and is also ranked as the world's second-fastest-growing tyre brand," the firm said in a statement.
The annual research on the most valuable and strongest vehicle, auto component, tyre, and mobility brands in 2023 by Brand Finance examines the value of brands in various industries. Brand value is defined as the net economic gain that a brand owner would receive if the brand were licensed in the open market.
A brand's strength is measured using a balanced scorecard that takes into account elements such as marketing investment, stakeholder equity, and business success to estimate what percentage of a company's revenue is provided by the brand.
