The Piaggio Group sold 324,600 automobiles globally in the first half of 2023 (320,600 in the first half of 2022), a 1.2% increase, and reported consolidated net sales of 1,172 million euro (1,053.1 million euro on 30 June 2022).

Piaggio Group recorded a net profit of 68 million euros for the first half of 2023, the Italian automaker's best first-half performance to date, up 43.4% from 45.2 million euros on 30 June 2022.

The industrial gross margin increased by 20.1% to 332.6 million euros. It reported industrial gross margins of 227.1 million euros and a return on net sales of 28.4%. (26.3% on June 30, 2022).
The total operating expense for the group was 215 million euros (191.3 million euros in the first half of 2022). The increase in operational expenses was associated with an increase in turnover and shipments.

The Piaggio MP3 three-wheeler, increased its overall turnover by about 50%. In commercial vehicles, the Piaggio Group recorded 57,100 vehicle sales in 2023, up 16.6% (49,000 in the previous year), with net sales of 215.9 million euro, up 21.8% from 177.3 million euro on 30 June 2022. The amount includes spares and accessories, which generated 30.8 million euro in revenue (+11.8% from 27.5 million euro in the first half of 2022).

Geographically, the Indian market regained strength, with commercial vehicle turnover increasing by 34.7% and sales volumes increasing by 20%. The EMEA & Americas area as a whole had a 2% increase in turnover.
