Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader, boarded a truck in Ambala, Haryana. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media. He was travelling from Delhi to Chandigarh.

According to Congress's social media resources, Rahul Gandhi rode in the truck to understand the challenges that heavy vehicle drivers experience when working through the night.

After arriving in Ambala, Rahul Gandhi travelled by road to Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. One of his Twitter followers stated that he took the ride to better appreciate the challenges that heavy equipment drivers experience while working overnight.

Rahul, travelling on a truck, was seen waving at bystanders in one of the social media videos. Since last month, Rahul Gandhi has visited Bengali Market and the Jama Masjid neighbourhood, where he has tasted local cuisine.

He next went to Mukherjee Nagar in North Delhi to meet UPSC candidates, and a few days later he had lunch with Delhi University students at PG Men's Hostel.

He also went to Delhi's Shakur Basti neighbourhood and spoke with slum people about their fear.

The women of Shakur Basti had told Rahul Gandhi about their fear of bulldozers razing their homes, as well as other difficulties such as a lack of reliable water supply, soaring prices for vital products, and their inability to purchase LPG cylinders.
