Viva ACP Launches Advanced Aluminium Composite Panels for Bus Safety and Performance

Key Highlights:

  • Viva ACP has launched advanced Aluminium Composite Panels (ACPs) for bus bodies in India.
  • The new panels reduce vehicle weight, improve fuel efficiency, and meet updated safety standards.
  • Viva is supporting the electric bus market's growth and collaborating with Tata Motors for Bangalore’s electric buses.

Viva ACP, Asia's leading manufacturer of metal composite panels, has introduced improved Aluminium Composite Panels (ACP) to enhance the safety and performance of bus bodies in India.

The new Viva ACPs provide benefits such as reduced vehicle weight, increased fuel efficiency, and improved overall performance. These lightweight panels meet the Ministry's revised safety standards, allowing manufacturers to comply with the upgraded guidelines.

According to Mayank Jain, Director of Viva Composite Panel, "our cutting-edge Aluminium Composite Panels represent more than just improved performance; they also symbolize our resolve to lead with integrity, drive good change, and contribute to the industry's greener future. We are enthusiastic to work with bus manufacturers and industry stakeholders to achieve these transformative aims."

The Indian electric bus market is likely to grow fast, encouraged by government initiatives, and the company's panels are well-positioned to facilitate this shift.

The company has previously partnered with Tata Motors Body Solutions on electric buses for Bangalore's Metropolitan Transport Corporation.

CMV360 Says

Viva ACP’s introduction of advanced Aluminium Composite Panels reflects the growing need for innovation in the transportation sector. As electric buses gain traction, such technologies can make a practical difference by improving safety and efficiency.

However, the widespread adoption of these panels will depend on how quickly bus manufacturers and operators embrace them in real-world applications.
