Ashok Leyland is generally acknowledged as India's most dependable commercial vehicle manufacturer. The sales report for April 2023 has been released by Ashok Leyland, the flagship company of the Hinduja Group. Total vehicle sales, including domestic and exports, increased by 10%.
Commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland sold a total of 12,974 units in April, including medium and heavy commercial vehicles and light commercial vehicles, a 10% increase year on year.

CV sales were 4944 units in April 2023, up from 4124 units in April 2022, representing a 20% increase. According to a corporate statement, the heavy commercial vehicle manufacturer sold 11,197 vehicles in the same month last year.
The company sold 6,831 Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles Trucks, a 4% decrease from the 7,084 units sold in April 2022.
M&HCV bus sales increased by 82%, with 1,102 units sold compared to 604 units sold in the same time the previous year. In all, M&HCV sales increased by 3%.
In April, Ashok Leyland sold 5,041 light commercial vehicles, a 21% increase over the 4,159 units sold in the same month in 2022.

Domestic vehicle sales increased by 10% to 12,366 units in April 2023, compared to 11,197 units in April 2022. The vehicle manufacturer sold 6,656 M&HCV trucks, 766 M&HCV buses, and 4,944 LCVs.
In April 2023, Ashok Leyland’s Domestic commercial vehicle sales data 2023 showed a growth of 6.14%. It sold 11,600 units in April 2023, compared to 10,929 units in April 2022.
The brand experienced a 2.18% decline in M&HCV Trucks and a 19.88% growth in the LCV segment. The company sold 6,656 commercial vehicle units in April 2023, compared to 6,805 units in April 2022, in the M&HCV category. The LCV truck, on the other hand, saw sales of 4,944 units in April 2023, compared to 4,124 units in April 2022.
In April 2023, Ashok Leyland Export commercial vehicle sales data 2023 showed a decline of 13.37%. It sold 272 units in April 2023, compared to 314 units in April 2022. The brand experienced a 37.27% decline in M&HCV Trucks and a 177.14% growth in the LCV segment.
The company sold 175 commercial vehicle units in April 2023, compared to 279 units in April 2022, in the M&HCV category. The LCV truck, on the other hand, saw sales of 97 units in April 2023, compared to 35 units in April 2022.
The sales data shows that they generated overall good sales in the LCV segment for both domestic and exports.
