Borzo's new service aims to achieve 500 deliveries per day using 3-wheelers and trucks by 2025.
Borzo plans to roll out promotional codes for competitive pricing in the 3-wheeler and truck delivery segment.

Key Highlights:

  • Borzo launched 3-wheeler and truck delivery for heavier shipments.
  • Service starts in Mumbai, expanding to major cities by 2024.
  • Borzo aims to onboard 1,500 couriers for bulkier B2B deliveries.
  • The target is 500 daily deliveries by 2025, offering flexible options.
  • Initial fleet includes traditional 3-wheelers; EVs will be added later.

Borzo, a global same-day delivery service known for its intracity network, has launched a new delivery service that includes 3-wheelers and trucks. This expansion marks a strategic move for Borzo, as it seeks to tap into the B2B logistics market with a service aimed at transporting heavier shipments.

The new service will first be available in Mumbai, with plans to extend to major cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Pune by the end of 2024.

Bigger Fleets for Heavier Loads

As part of this new venture, Borzo plans to onboard 1,500 couriers using a mix of 3-wheelers and Tata Ace, allowing it to handle bulkier goods for businesses.

This addition is expected to help Borzo cater to a wider range of clients who need more capacity than 2-wheelers can offer. With this fleet, Borzo can now deliver items such as furniture, repair parts, and grocery supplies for its B2B clients, aligning its services with market demand for larger deliveries.

Expanding Capacity with Flexible Courier Options

Borzo's new service aims to achieve 500 deliveries per day using 3-wheelers and trucks by 2025. The company believes this growth target will enable it to secure a greater share of the B2B logistics market, offering businesses a cost-effective and flexible delivery alternative.

In the initial phase, the fleet will include traditional 3-wheelers, but Borzo plans to introduce electric vehicles as it scales up operations, aligning with its commitment to efficiency and sustainability.

Couriers in Borzo's fleet will operate as gig workers or small fleet operators, giving them the flexibility to manage both on-demand orders and end-of-day deliveries through the Borzo app. The couriers will own their vehicles, working on flexible schedules that maximize productivity. This approach not only supports Borzo’s business model but also offers gig workers more control over their work hours.

Competitive Pricing with Promotional Offers

To attract more B2B clients, Borzo plans to roll out promotional codes for competitive pricing in the 3-wheeler and truck delivery segment. This strategy aims to make the transition smooth for businesses trying the new service.

Borzo’s CEO, Alina Kisina, highlighted the company's commitment to versatility and customer satisfaction in a recent statement, noting that the fleet expansion is a direct response to business demand for reliable, affordable logistics solutions.

CMV360 Says

Borzo’s new 3-wheeler and truck service is a smart step. It meets the growing needs of businesses for larger deliveries. Now, companies can move bulk items more easily. This service gives businesses flexible and affordable delivery options. It also helps Borzo stand out in the urban logistics market. This expansion could make Borzo a top choice for reliable, larger deliveries in cities.
