Montra Electric Opens First E-SCV Dealership in Chennai
Montra Electric has opened its first electric small commercial vehicle (e-SCV) dealership in Madhavaram, Chennai. Operated by TVS Vehicle Mobility Solution Pvt. Ltd., the 3S facility offers sales, service, spares, and charging. The dealership features the Montra EVIATOR LCV, which delivers 80 kW power, 300 Nm torque, and a certified range of 245 km. As part of TI Clean Mobility, Montra Electric aims to expand its presence in South India, driven by rising demand for sustainable logistics amid increasing fuel costs and stricter emissions regulations.
Eicher Trucks and Buses has begun supplying Eicher Pro X electric trucks to Magenta Mobility, with an initial order of 100 units. These trucks will be deployed in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai to support sustainable logistics. The Pro X range offers best-in-class cargo space, air-conditioned cabins, and AI-driven telematics. Magenta Mobility, with over 2,600 EVs, continues expanding its footprint in eco-friendly transportation, reinforcing the shift toward cleaner logistics and reducing carbon emissions in India.
Tata Motors Announces Price Hike of Up to 2% for CVs Starting April 2025
Tata Motors has announced a price hike of up to 2% on its commercial vehicles, effective April 1, 2025, due to rising input costs. The increase will vary by model and follows a previous 3% hike on passenger vehicles in January. Maruti Suzuki has also announced a price increase of up to 4%. The timing aligns with the new financial year to minimize sales disruptions. Buyers have a limited window to purchase vehicles at current prices before the hike takes effect.

Montra Electric has opened its first e-SCV dealership in Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru, expanding its presence in Karnataka. Operated in partnership with TVS Vehicle Mobility Solution Pvt. Ltd., the 3S facility offers sales, service, spares, and charging. The dealership will showcase the EVIATOR e-SCV, featuring an 80-kW motor, 300 Nm torque, and a 245 km certified range. Montra Electric aims to enhance after-sales support and strengthen its position in India's EV market through strategic expansion and partnerships.
Exponent Energy Unveils 1MW Rapid Charging Technology, 1.5MW Coming Soon
Exponent Energy has introduced India’s first 1MW fast charging technology, enabling 15-minute charging for EVs. The system includes the e^pack battery, e^pump charging station, and e^plug connector. Over 1,700 EVs use this technology, completing 3.5 lakh fast charges and covering 20 lakh km. The company partnered with Veera Vahana to launch the Veera Mahasamrat EV and plans a 1.5MW charging system soon. Backed by $44.6 million in funding, Exponent Energy continues expanding its rapid-charging network across major cities.
Hero MotoCorp Invests Rs. 525 Crore in Euler Motors, Ventures into Electric Three-Wheelers
Hero MotoCorp is investing Rs. 525 crore in Euler Motors, acquiring a 32.5% stake and marking its entry into the electric three-wheeler market. Euler Motors, known for its EVs, recently launched its first electric commercial four-wheeler. Hero has faced challenges diversifying beyond commuter motorcycles, relying on partnerships for premium bikes and EVs. Additionally, Hero's board approved a new non-profit entity for CSR initiatives. This strategic move strengthens Hero's position in India's growing electric vehicle segment.
Tata Motors Patents Autonomous Self-Driving Vehicle Concept: Tata YU
Tata Motors has unveiled the Tata YU, an autonomous self-driving concept vehicle designed for both passenger and cargo transport. The compact EV features hub-mounted motors and a two-section design, with a central area for e-commerce parcels and a rear space for passengers. Users can book rides via an app, similar to ride-hailing services, while an automated system handles package deposits for gig workers to deliver. Developed in six months at Strate School of Design, Tata YU remains a concept, with potential production around 2030 or later.

Mega Vegetable Expo 2025 will take place from March 21 to 23 in Karnal, Haryana, offering farmers prizes like tractors and power weeders. Organized by the Haryana Horticulture Department, the event will focus on vegetable farming, beekeeping, and potato production. Over 300 farmers will be awarded for their best produce, while more than 200 horticulture companies will showcase advanced farming technology. The expo will also feature live demonstrations, technical sessions, and cultural performances, making it an exciting and informative event for farmers.
New Holland Appoints Yuvraj Singh as Brand Ambassador
New Holland has appointed cricket star Yuvraj Singh as its brand ambassador to honor Indian farmers through the 'Asli Hero ki Asli Taaqat' campaign. The initiative highlights farmers' resilience and dedication, encouraging them to adopt advanced machinery for better productivity. Yuvraj, known for his fighting spirit, aligns with the hardworking nature of farmers. The campaign will use multiple media channels to connect with farmers across India.
