Turbo Energy, Ltd. is honoured for taking a particularly complete and holistic approach to sustainability and CO2 reduction in the development of Euro III, IV, and V turbochargers.

The Daimler Truck Supplier Award acknowledges suppliers for meeting expectations and cooperating in a collaborative spirit.

Daimler Truck presented four suppliers with the Daimler Truck Supplier Award at the International Motor Show for Commercial Vehicles "IAA Transportation" for the first time as an independent, listed company. In Hanover, outstanding achievements in the categories of Innovation, Sustainability, Partnership, and Quality were recognized. Martin Daum, Daimler Truck's Chairman of the Board of Management, and Marcus Schoenenberg, Daimler Truck's Head of Global Procurement, presented the prizes in front of more than 300 international visitors, including strategic partners and major suppliers.

Martin Daum, Chairman of Daimler Truck's Management Board said that "'We progress together,' is one of Daimler Truck's mottos. We are determined that we can only progress with our worldwide staff, our customers, and critical partners like our suppliers. As a result, I am extremely grateful for their great assistance and collaboration during these unique, supply-driven times!"

Marcus Schoenenberg, Head of Global Procurement at Daimler Truck, expresses gratitude to the present suppliers: "We provide reliable and safe transportation worldwide as the largest truck and bus manufacturer with a global reach. Our suppliers are a key element of our manufacturing network; together, we are making history on our road to zero-emission mobility. Thank you for your dedication and support for our strategy!"

One of the four winners is Turbo Energy Pvt Ltd (TEL), India's major manufacturer of turbochargers based in Chennai. Turbocharging systems and turbocharger components manufactured by the company are used in passenger cars, commercial vehicles, construction and agricultural machines, ships, and industry. TEL has a yearly production capacity of roughly two million turbochargers and five million turbocharger components and a market share of more than 60%.

Category - Innovation

Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) was recognized for developing and manufacturing cutting-edge high-voltage battery systems with up to 500-kilometer range, extraordinarily long service life, and fast-charging capacity. From 2024, the battery systems will be employed in the new eActros LongHaul.

Category - Sustainability

Turbo Energy, Ltd. is honoured for taking a particularly complete and holistic approach to sustainability and CO2 reduction in the development of Euro III, IV, and V turbochargers.

Category - Partnership

Friedrich Boysen GmbH was recognized for its exceptional collaboration in the creation of the new heavy-duty EU6 exhaust after-treatment box. Daimler Truck is therefore increasing its global competitiveness in low-emission vehicles.

Category - Quality

Axalta Coating Systems, Llc. was recognized for its many years of collaboration and consistent delivery of topcoats to the North American market. The company excels with high-quality coatings and a unique manufacturing model that conserves resources.

The Daimler Truck Supplier Award acknowledges suppliers for meeting expectations and cooperating in a collaborative spirit. Suppliers are recognized in the following categories: Innovation, Sustainability, Partnership, and Quality. The evaluation also takes into consideration cost-effectiveness, delivery reliability, and ethical behaviour.
