Electric 3W L5 Sales Report February 2025: MLMM Emerges as Top Choice

In February 2025, India’s electric vehicle (EV) sales showed mixed performance. The sales of passenger electric three-wheelers (E3W L5) decreased to 11,908 units in February 2025 from 12,881 units in January 2025. In February 2025, the sales of cargo electric three-wheelers (E3W L5) decreased to 2,448 units from 2,491 units in January 2025.

Electric three-wheelers (E3W) are an important category of the electric vehicle (EV) market in India, as they offer affordable, convenient, and eco-friendly mobility solutions for both passengers and goods. In this news, we will analyze the sales performance of E3W L5 in the goods and passenger segments for February 2025 based on the Vahan Dashboard data.

E-3W Passenger L5 Sales Trend

According to Vahan Dashboard data, the E-3W L5 Passenger category sold 11,908 units in February 2025 compared to 6,968 in February 2024. The E-3W Passenger L5 segment witnessed a YoY growth in sales.

Electric Three-Wheeler Passenger L5 Sales Trend by OEM

The sales figures for Electric Three-Wheeler Passenger L5 have shown some remarkable growth in February 2025. Here is the sales performance of Top OEMs in February 2025: 

In February 2025, Mahindra Last Mile Mobility sold 4,732 units, marking a 56.7% Y-O-Y increase compared to February 2024, when they sold 3,020 units. However, their sales dropped by 5.3% from January 2025, where they sold 4,999 units.

Bajaj Auto also showed impressive growth, selling 4,156 units in February 2025. This is a massive 246.3% increase in Y-O-Y sales compared to the 1,200 units sold in February 2024. But, there was a 14.8% decline from January 2025, where they sold 4,877 units.

Piaggio Vehicles saw a decline in sales, with only 1,049 units sold in February 2025. There is a 36.8% drop in Y-O-Y sales. They also experienced a 26.6% decline in M-O-M sales. The company sold 1,430 units in January 2025.

Omega Seiki recorded a strong performance with 571 units sold, up by 332.6% compared to 132 units sold in February 2024. Their M-O-M sales increased by 137.9%. The company sold 240 units in January 2025.

TI Clean Mobility sold 532 units in February 2025, showing a 15.2% increase in Y-O-Y sales. The company sold 462 units in February 2024. However, their M-O-M sales decline by 5%. The company sold 560 units in January 2025.

E-3W Goods L5 Sales

According to Vahan Dashboard data, the total number of E-3W sold in the L5 Goods category was 2,448 units in February 2025 compared to 2,671 in February 2024. The E-3W Cargo L5 segment witnessed a decline in Y-O-Y sales.

E-3W Cargo L5 Sales Trend by OEM

The sales data for Electric Three-Wheeler Goods L5 in February 2025 shows varied performances across different brands, with some experiencing notable growth:

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility: In February 2025, the company sold 589 units in the E-3W Goods L5 segment. There is a decline of 38.3% in Y-O-Y sales. The company sold 955 units in February 2024. However, the company saw a growth of 28.9% in M-O-M sales. In January 2025, the company sold 457 units.

Omega Seiki: The company recorded sales of 535 units in February 2025. This shows a growth of 46.2% Y-O-Y sales. The company sold 366 units in February 2024. Their M-O-M sales grew by 45.4%. In January 2025, the company sold 368 units.

Bajaj Auto: The company sold 430 units in February 2025. This is a strong 138.9% increase in Y-O-Y sales. The company sold 180 units in February 2024. However, there was a 10.4% decline in M-O-M sales. In January 2025, the company sold 480 units.

Euler Motors: The company had a sales of 198 units in February 2025. This represents a 46.9% decrease in Y-O-Y sales. The company sold 373 units in February 2024. Similarly, there was a 27.5% decline in M-O-M sales. In January 2025, the company sold 273 units. 

Zenmo: The company sold 131 units in February 2025, showing a 133.9% growth in M-O-M sales. The company sold 56 units in January 2025. They did not have any sales in February 2024, making the year-on-year growth not applicable.

The sales of electric three-wheelers in February 2025 showed mixed trends. The L5 passenger E3Ws saw a year-on-year increase and month-on-month sales declined. The L5 Cargo E3Ws, on the other hand, experienced a drop in both yearly and monthly comparisons. Brands like Bajaj Auto and Omega Seiki showed strong growth, while Piaggio and Euler Motors faced challenges.
