In the first phase of the partnership, GreenLine will deploy 25 LNG-powered trucks.
GreenLine’s LNG fleet complements Flipkart’s efforts to reduce its logistics carbon footprint.

Key Highlights:

  • GreenLine Mobility Solutions partners with Flipkart to support sustainable logistics operations.
  • GreenLine will deploy 25 LNG-powered trucks with 46 ft containers for transporting e-commerce goods.
  • The initial phase will focus on routes from West to North India, with plans to expand to other regions.
  • The partnership supports Flipkart’s goal to reduce its logistics carbon footprint alongside its electric vehicle fleet.
  • GreenLine has reduced CO2 emissions by 30% over the past two years, equating to a 7,398-tonne reduction in carbon emissions.

GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd has partnered with Flipkart to support more sustainable logistics operations. This collaboration will involve GreenLine deploying its fleet of LNG-powered trucks, which will help Flipkart in its mission to decarbonize its delivery operations.

LNG-Powered Trucks in the First Phase

In the first phase of the partnership, GreenLine will deploy 25 LNG-powered trucks. These trucks will feature 46 ft containers with a capacity of 110 cubic meters (CBM). These vehicles will transport various e-commerce goods, including B2B (business-to-business) and B2C (business-to-consumer) shipments.

The initial focus will be on routes between West to North India, with plans to expand to more regions in the future, including North to South and West to South corridors.

Commitment to Sustainability

This partnership aligns with the sustainability goals of both GreenLine and Flipkart. GreenLine’s LNG fleet complements Flipkart’s efforts to reduce its logistics carbon footprint.

Flipkart has also taken steps in deploying 10,000 electric vehicles (EVs) as part of its push for cleaner operations. By integrating both LNG and EVs, Flipkart aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and support a more sustainable future.

Key Comments from Leadership

Anand Mimani, CEO of GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd, emphasized that e-commerce is transforming lives in India but also impacting the environment. Through this partnership, GreenLine aims to reduce the environmental impact of logistics with LNG-powered trucks.

Hemant Badri, SVP and Head of Supply Chain at Flipkart Group, highlighted that the partnership with GreenLine is an essential step toward building a sustainable future and improving supply chain efficiency, while contributing to India's environmental goals.

GreenLine’s Impact on CO2 Emissions

GreenLine continues to serve various industries, including cement, steel, FMCG, and consumer goods, promoting sustainable mobility solutions across India. Over the past two years, GreenLine’s sustainable initiatives have reduce CO2 emissions by 30% compared to traditional diesel vehicles, equivalent to a reduction of 7,398 tonnes of carbon emissions.

About GreenLine
