IPM India has added CNG trucks and electric commercial vehicles to its logistics fleet to reduce carbon emissions. These vehicles alone have helped cut over 30 tonnes of CO2 emissions in key areas like Delhi-NCR and Mumbai. This initiative is a major step toward cleaner, more sustainable logistics.
In addition to greener vehicles, IPM India has shifted 70% of its non-tobacco product sourcing from air freight to more eco-friendly sea and land transport. This shift will help reduce an additional 654 tonnes of CO2 emissions by March 2025.
Navaneel Kar, Managing Director of IPM India, commented, “Sustainability and business performance go hand in hand. Our sustainable logistics network is a reflection of our core values. We are proud to drive positive change and create long-term value through innovation and sustainability.”
Divya Vanshika, Head of Operations at IPM India, added, “Investing in a sustainable logistics network is crucial for our business and society. We are committed to supporting India's journey toward a carbon-neutral future, in line with the government’s focus on sustainability.”
