Key Highlights

  • Eberspaecher opens a new plant in Przylesie, Poland.
  • Produces up to 20,000 thermal systems annually.
  • Launching AC138 EVO heat pump in January 2025.
  • Uses eco-friendly refrigerant CO₂ (R744).
  • 30% increased production capacity for rising e-mobility demand.

Eberspaecher has launched a new facility in Przylesie, Poland, dedicated to producing advanced thermal management systems for hybrid and battery-electric buses. This move reflects the growing demand for eco-friendly transportation solutions.

The new plant, which began production recently, will produce up to 20,000 thermal management systems annually. The systems are specifically designed for electric city buses and coaches, ensuring efficient heating and cooling. One of the key products to be manufactured is the AC138 EVO heat pump, which will be introduced in January 2025.

A Step Toward Sustainable E-Mobility

Eberspaecher's AC138 EVO heat pump is tailored for hybrid and battery-electric buses, featuring high energy efficiency and low system complexity. This cutting-edge technology will also use the climate-friendly refrigerant CO₂ (R744), aligning with environmental goals. According to Oliver Wels, the product offers "a patented reversal of the air circuit," making it a market leader for e-mobility solutions.

Increased Capacity for Growing Demand

The new facility in Przylesie provides 30% more production capacity than Eberspaecher’s previous site in Olawa, Poland. Speaking on the expansion, Jorg Steins, CEO of the Eberspaecher Group, stated, “The increasing demand for electric buses requires us to expand our capacities for bus air conditioning systems.”

Eberspaecher has been operating in Poland for seven years, and this new plant represents a significant investment in the region. Along with production lines relocated from Olawa, two additional production lines are being built to accommodate future orders.

Meeting the Needs of Modern E-Mobility

Eberspaecher’s efforts reflect the shift toward electrification in the transportation industry. By providing innovative thermal management systems like the AC138 EVO, the company aims to support global manufacturers of electric buses and coaches while promoting sustainability.

With its commitment to high-quality and environmentally conscious solutions, Eberspaecher is well-positioned to lead the way in thermal management for hybrid and electric vehicles.
