Prime Minister Narendra Modi has issued the 13th installment of nearly Rs 16,000 crore from Karnataka's Belagavi under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Programme (PM-KISAN). The 13th installment was distributed to over 8 crore beneficiaries via direct benefits transfer (DBT).

Farmers are over the moon after receiving their instalments ahead of the Holi celebration. According to reports, a sum of approximately Rs 8 crore has been released into the accounts of more than 16800 crore farmers throughout the country this time.

Overview of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Programme

PM Kisan is a Central Sector Scheme. It is totally funded by the Government of India. It became active on December 1, 2018. Every land-holding farmer household will receive income support of 6,000/- per year in three equal instalments of Rs. 2000 under the scheme.

Under this scheme, the family word includes husband, wife, and children. The government and the administration will choose the farmer families and decide whether they are eligible for assistance under the scheme's guideline

The funds will be deposited directly to the beneficiary’s bank accounts in three installments. The scheme has several Exclusion Categories.

This scheme provides financial help to farmers. Farmers can use this money to buy fertilizer, seeds, insecticides, tractors, and other agricultural equipment.

PM Kisan's 13th installment: steps to check your name in the list of beneficiaries.

Step 1: Go to PM Kisan's official website at pmkisan

Step 2: The map of India can be found under the Payment Success tab.

Step 3: Look for the 'Dashboard' tab on the right side.

Step 4: Click on 'Dashboard.'

Step 5: You will now be directed to a new page.

Step 6: Fill out your information in the Village Dashboard tab.

Step 7: Choose your state, district, sub-district, and gram panchayat.

Step 8: Finally, click the show button.

Step 9: You may now select your details.

Aside from that, you can use your smartphone to determine whether or not you are eligible for Samman Nidhi under the PM Kisan Yojana. That is, whether or not you received 13 of the 2000th installment. To do so, go to the Google Play Store and download the PM Kisan App, then check the beneficiary list by entering the required information.

Registration process for the PMKISAN via mobile app

The steps for the registration process through the app are:

  1. Install the PMKISAN mobile app.
  2. Select a language.
  3. Click on the 'New Farmer Registration' button.
  4. Enter your Aadhar card number and Captcha.
  5. Now press the 'Continue' button.
  6. Fill out the registration form with information such as your name, bank details, address, IFSC code, and land details, and then click the 'Submit' button to finish the registration.

  • Aadhaar card
  • Proof of citizenship
  • Documents proving land ownership
  • Account information

Eligibility Criteria for PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi

This Yojana is available to farm families that meet the following criteria:

  • All small and marginal farmers are eligible.
  • This plan's advantages are available to farmer families who own cultivable land.
  • One who has Indian citizenship.

Who is not eligible under this scheme?

The following are not eligible for benefits:

  1. All institutional landowners.
  2. Farmers who do not have an Aadhaar card are not eligible to participate in the PM-Kisan scheme.
  3. Farmer families that fall into one or more of the following categories:
  • At the same time, if someone owns agricultural land but is a government employee or has retired, he will be ineligible for this plan.
  • If a person owns a farm yet receives a monthly pension of more than Rs 10,> he is ineligible for this scheme.
  • This method will not assist families who pay income taxes.
  • Current or former MPs, MLAs, and ministers are not eligible to participate in the PM Kisan Scheme.
  • Other than that, this scheme is not available to professional registered doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants, or their family members.

Merits PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Programme

  • This scheme will provide limited economic aid to the farming community.
  • Direct benefit transfers (DBT) of Rs 2,000 per quarter and Rs 6,000 per year would be available to all qualifying farmers.

Steps to complete KYC procedure for PM-Kisan scheme

Farmers must have an Aadhaar card to benefit from the PM-Kisan scheme. Eligible individuals can link their Aadhaar to the bank account of the PM-Kisan portal by following the steps below:

  1. Go to the PM-Kisan website.
  2. Go to the 'Farmers Corner' section.
  3. Choose 'Update Aadhaar Failed Records'
  4. The page for editing the Aadhaar information will appear.
  5. Enter the Aadhaar Number, and Captcha, and click the 'Search' option.
  6. The farmers' dashboard will appear, where one can edit or update their Aadhar number.
  7. Click on the ‘Submit’ button
